Most books that I review, I obtain either by purchasing, or loaning from the library. I do receive some free copies (from publishers, authors, or third parties) in exchange for a review. I am not paid to write these reviews or make any recommendations, and all opinions are my own. My accepting a free book does not affect my opinion of the book, the content of my review, or guarantee any positive statements about it.
At the beginning of a book review, I disclose how I obtained the book, and if a review was requested. It is also disclosed if I am reviewing an ARC copy, or have worked to edit or proofread the book.
